Thank you Ed, for an excellent piece of 'media studies' that deals with aspects of representation and mediation that seem just as pertinent in our current political climate. I knew of Octobiana mainly through the character's connections with the Punk and New Wave scene so, this impressive overview was an education. I'm amazed by how you make such a complex and difficult subject so cogent. What a fun read!
